After the 5008 crossover and the 508 wagon models, the 508 sedan has also received the Hybrid4 diesel-electric all-wheel drive system.
The model is available for order in Europe, with deliveries to start in July across most of the major markets
The 508 Hybrid4 combines a 2.0-liter HDi diesel engine which produces 163 PS and powers the front wheels with a 37 PS electric motor that moves the rear ones.
Thanks to a combined output of 200 PS, the drivetrain propels the 508 from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds and on to a top speed of 209km/h (130mph).
Peugeot says the 508 Hybrid4 will achieve an impressive 3.6 l/100km (78.5 UK) and will only put out 95 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
