Peugeot has already launched the 408 sedan in Russia and now they have rolled out the model in East asian markets. After numerous sightings in China and other countries, the sedan has been launched in Malaysia, aimed at the young professional with a family, who’s looking for space and elegance.

The car will be available in two configurations - 408 Turbo and 2.0, with the former powered by a 1.6-liter twin-scroll turbo rated at 163 hp and 240 Nm from 1,400 rpm. This gets you from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds and on to the 215 km/h top speed.

The Peugeot 408 2.0 is the cheaper of the two, and comes with a less refined naturally aspirated engine hat only produces 145 hp at 6,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, and comes mated to an eight-speed automatic. The car takes a leisurely 12,5 seconds to reach 100 km/h.
