Ever since Peugeot launched the 206 CC, the original city-oriented retractable-hardtop car, they have steadily improved the formula, launching the 307 CC, 207CC and its most recent topless variant, the 308CC. We say that it is a natural evolution of their small hatchbacks.
The very safe 208 will definitely be getting the same retractable-hardtop treatment, as its predecessors. Also, considering the fact that the 208 is one of the prettier Peugeots of recent years, we say that the convertible version will probably be the best looking car in the range, considering the fact that the GTi version is no certainty.

While the French manufacturer has not given any information on the matter, but considering the success of the car’s convertible predecessors, it would be foolish of them not to make it. Also, if they do make it, they will try to aim it at a more masculine audience, to claw back some sales from the very talented Renault Wind, one of its main (hypothetical) rivals.
