The Up! is probably the car with the biggest sense of humor in Volkswagen's range. In Britain, the tiny car's affordability is promoted on the shelf of a magazine shop, while over in Japan, things get a bit more crazy.
We've just found these commercials for the Up! Black and Up! White from the land of sushi and manga.

They show contrasting panda bears speaking about the cosmetic touches made to these special edition cars.

You guys have to remember, Japan has a very competitive kei car market, formed exclusively by 660cc engines. The Up! is fighting an uphill battle in terms of price and practicality, but the pandas will surely help… I think.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
