While jokes on all yellow cars being taxis make for poor humor, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS in the image gallery bellow makes for one of the exceptions.
We've been holding the idea for the fake taxi box on our hard drives since last summer, when we showed you a yellow Cayman GT4 who had pulled such a trick. The man took his "cabbie" to a Cars and Coffee event in California, drawing attention like a magnet.

Heck, a few examples of the GT3 RS PDK actually serve as public transportation vehicles on certain tracks around the world, but we're talking about racing taxis here.

So far, we've come across 991-generation Rennsport Neunelfer track taxis on the Nurburgring, Spa-Francorchamps, as well as on Hockenheimring, even though the latter may have been a project-based, not a full-time job. Given the fact that Porsche's GT arm only produces around 2,000 units of the stunning Neunelfer derivative per year, the number is cars being used to thrills passengers is not small.

Returning to the GT3 RS PDK we have here, the shade of Yellow seen on the car is so special because we're dealing with a Paint To Sample (PTS) color. Porsche Exclusive, Zuffenhausen's personalization arm, offers customers a generously-sized finish catalog and this is an example of what happens when a client takes full advantage of the opportunity.

As if the Porsche optional extras list wasn't enough of a portal into a customer's bank account, such extra features can be terrifyingly expensive, especially if we're talking about an uber-rare model like the GT3 RS - remember that PTS Black RS being offered for $375,000 (on the speculation market, of course)?

Thanks to the lens-obsessed crew over at Autogespot, we can now share this Porscha with you - wearing Swiss plates, the track-savvy 911 was spotted on the streets of Zurich.
