Owner Takes Ferrari F40 to the Car Wash in Monaco

A great-looking Ferrari F40 with Russian plates was recently spotted in Monaco by Worldsupercars, and it was shot just as the owner was starting it up, in order to take it to the car wash - it was rather dusty and dirty. Judging by the noise level at idle, it is probably one of the loudest idling cars we have ever heard, especially when it’s cold and the engine runs at higher rpms.
After it gets back, in a much cleaner state then when it left, the video focuses on the paint and how it is so thin that the weave of the carbon fiber is plainly visible. It is just one of the many weight-saving features found on the F40, and since its weight is so low (1,100 kg / 2425 lbs), the turbocharged 2.9-liter with 471 hp makes short work of any acceleration attempt.

The F40 is a stunning machine and we are happy that people still drive and cherish them, as they deserve. Furthermore, the F40, a car made in the late 1980s, early 1990s, is still on par (or better) in terms of performance than many modern supercars which shout about their credentials with much more verve - the F40 was purpose-built for going fast, and it clearly shows.
