Also marketed as the Buick Encore and the Vauxhall Mokka, the cheeky B-segment five-door crossover will receive a special edition model in a week's time, at the 2014 Moscow Auto Show. Moreover, the German carmaker announced it will also exhibit the Opel Adam, Adam Rocks and the Insignia OPC.
In Russia at least, the Opel Mokka is the leader of the subcompact crossover segment, beating heavyweight nameplates such as the model that started this frenzy - the Nissan Juke. In the first six months of 2014, the Opel Mokka moved in excess of 9,000 units in the Russian Federation, therefore becoming the best-selling Opel model. In Moscow alone, the Opel Mokka sold about 8,000 examples, translating to the sixth biggest market in Europe by volume for the nameplate.

Although the manufacturer hasn't release any photographs of the special edition Opel Mokka Moscow, the German automaker has declared that this car will be showcased as a concept vehicle, bearing an "eye-catching orange color." In Russia, orange is the fourth most popular color for automobiles after the way too classic black, white and brown. The Moscow Edition will also get a new interior design according to the manufacturer, a design said to give "unique style and sophistication".

"Opel Mokka almost immediately won the hearts of European customers and became a bestseller," declared Andy Dunstan, president and managing director for GM Russia and CIS. "With the advent of the model to an important market for us in Russia, we were able to win over new customers who are attracted by luxury cars SUV. Mokka enjoys particular success in large cities such as St. Petersburg and Moscow." Although production started last year, the Mokka moved 72,000 units in the first half of 2014.
