Nissan Working on Murano, Rogue Hybrids
According to Green Car Reports, the new models were confirmed by the company’s senior vice president of research and development for Nissan North America, Carla Bailo, during the Nissan 360 global product event in California.
No word on when either model will be introduced, but GCR says that the redesigned Rogue and Murano “are likely to be unveiled within the next six months, and go on sale early in 2014.”
Both vehicles will share 2014 Nissan Pathfinder’s hybrid powertrain, which is said to return 25 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway. The hybrid SUV has yet to arrive in showrooms, but we do know that it’s powered by a supercharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine connected to an electric motor and a CVT for 250 HP.
