The new Qashqai crossover from Nissan is almost here, as the Japanese car brand is showing us what the front end looks like in this revealing teaser photo.
The design is predictable and yet interesting. Just like the new Rogue and X-Trail, the Qash' has a wide V-shaped chrome valence. Headlights have a short V-shaped LED assembly flanking the grille, and there appear to be bi-xenon headlights installed.
Hopefully, those are optional extras, because most customers will want a cheap Qushqai.
Reports suggest this UK-built crossover will have a 1.2-liter turbo engine like the Renault Captur and Dacia Duster, not a 1.2 DIG-S supercharged one like the Micra. This is perhaps the most interesting aspect of the powertrain development. But there should also be a sub-100 gram diesel that's equally as impressive.
NVH levels will drop, infotainment systems will be updated and luxurious fitting will be added, all in an effort to keep the Quashqai as the most successful car in its segment.
