Nissan has made it purpose show to the European debut of the Nismo Juke in Geneva today, and it’s not because they want to show off a car they will never build. We might have exciting news for you, as sales of the much-needed hot crossover model will “start towards the end of 2012,” according to an official statement.
This will be the first of many Nismo performance models that will be a bit like MINI’s John Cooper Works - range toppers. So, all we know now is that the Juke will be available with get a sportier interior and a focused exterior, together with a better engine and suspension setup.
“Add enhanced performance and even sharper handling and Juke Nismo is a car that just begs to be driven. The result takes Juke to the next level – distinctive, energetic and highly desirable: it will continue the trail blazed by Juke since its launch a little over a year ago,” said Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President, Nissan Motor.
The styling upgrades previewed by this concept include a 19-inch set of wheels, but what we really care about is if they can get the 1.6 turbo to 210 hp like it should be.
