Nissan GT-R Gets LSD Wing Doors

If you thought Nissan made its World Performance Car of the Year, the GT-R, as complete as possible, think again. It appears that the GT-R was somewhat incomplete without the addition of lambo style doors (LSD), for it to become the "absolute looker".

We must say, the add-on, which will cost those who intend of purchasing it 1,949 euro, does look like it belongs on the GT-R. And they seem both useful and safe too. The LSD uses a new guided roller system (GRS) that allows for door adjustment and comes with a German TUV certificate stating the doors meet all safety standards.

The LSD is a quick and easy feature to install and it does not require any welding or repainting. The LSD door fittings are mounted directly at the points where the original doors were fitted. With the new fittings, the doors (which remain the original ones on the car) open first outward and then slide upward.

Adjustable buffers prevent the doors from being opened too wide or from falling downward or inward when opened. The lambo style doors have an outward motion with an aperture angle of roughly 30 degrees and it allows the door to be swung upward without any great exertion. LSD doors also allow for three-dimensional adjustments.

The LSD doors for the Nissan GT-R will be available at selected dealers, but only if you pay the 1,949 euros we mentioned before.
