The Nissan GT-R has to thank its chief engineer, Kazutoshi Mizuno, for all the assets it’s been gifted with, but there have been recent questions about the vehicle’s future since Mizuno was expected to follow the standard procedure at Nissan and retire, since he reached his 60th anniversary earlier this year.
Well, it seems that Godzilla’s father doesn’t plan to retire too soon, with the engineer planning a trip to the US for next year, in an effort to get feedback from owners, fans and dealers.

Mizuno will oversee the Nurburgring testing for the vehicle next year and the sessions will take place using the standard model, as Nissan wants every GT-R owner to feel the spirit of the car regardless of the version chosen.

The 2014 Nissan GT-R will be launched early next year, but the car has already set a Nurburgring laptime of 7:18.
