A few days ago, we brought you a fresh story from the set of Need for Speed, the movie not the video game, which is being shot in California on location on the twisty roads of Mendocino County.
Now, we have fresh photos released by the same source, showing three cars racing each other. They are, of course, replicas, not the real million dollar toys. So, let's add up the roster and see what they've got.
The black beauty is the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, a limited edition car developed by the Skunk Works inside Lamborghini. Only 20 will be built, and this is definitely not one of them, it's just a copy. The real think would be built exclusively from carbon-fiber reinforced plastics and weighs just 999 kg. Thanks to a 570 PS V10, it gets from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. Of the three, it's the only one that's not road-legal.
Next up, we have the orange McLaren P1, a hybrid supercar developed by Britain's leading F1 tech engineers. Lastly, we have the latest and most powerful Koenigsegg ever, the Agera R. It has 1115 PS coming from its Volvo-source V8 and runs on ethanol.
