Instead of a Bugatti Veyron, the previous form of Drift, the Autobot will come back in the shape of a Mercedes-AMG GT R.

Mr. Bay has even published a picture of the car that will be used in the movie, and it will have a black exterior with red accent stripes. A different set of alloy wheels is also present.

The next installment of the Transformers series is scheduled to appear in cinemas in 2017, and its title is Transformers: The Last Knight.

The plot of the movie is still unknown, but we do know that Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins, Isabela Moner, and Tyrese Gibson are in the cast. Peter Cullen is cast as the voice of Optimus Prime, IMDB reports.

Michael Bay will be not only the director of the next Transformers, but also an executive producer. The motion picture is being filmed this year, as the latest production in which Bay was involved, Ouija: Origin of Evil, has been completed.

Bumblebee, the black-and-yellow Chevrolet Camaro, will also appear in the next Transformers movie, and Michael Bay has also published a picture of the car that will be modified to become an Autobot in the motion picture. According to reports, the car will feature carbon fiber exterior components, and a wide-body kit is not excluded.

Along with the 2016 Camaro, the next Transformers will feature its arch-rival, the Ford Mustang. In the case of Blue Oval's iconic model, the Autobot inspired by it will be called Barricade, and will be a police cruiser. According to previous statements made by Michael Bay, its unofficial motto is “To punish and enslave,” significantly different than “To protect and to serve.”

Transformers: The Last Knight is set to have its premiere in theaters on June 23, 2017. This means that we are less than a year away from the next installment of Bay's popular action series. At around the same time next year, the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R will hit US dealers, so the match is fitting.
