Next-Gen Dodge Journey to Arrive in 2016
According to Automotive News, the next-generation Dodge Journey is slated to arrive in 2016, when production will be shifted from Toluca, Mexico, to the Sterling Heights Assembly plant in Michigan, where the new Chrysler 200 sedan is to be built.
In addition, word has it that both the Chrysler 200 and the Dodge Journey will be underpinned by the same Giulietta platform used for the Dodge Dart and the all-new Jeep Cherokee.
The current-generation Dodge Journey received an important update in 2011, when visual modifications were applied outside and inside as well. The same year, the Journey was replaced by the Fiat Freemont in Europe, which was also offered in Australia earlier this year. The vehicle is sold with both badges in South America.
