We loved the look of the old Passat CC, as it was one of the most sculpted Volkswagens in a very long time. Unfortunately, the angular design language they switched to isn’t really working on the executive four-door coupe, but it’s still imposing, so people will take notice.
The car is now known only as the CC, a fact revealed when the facelift was shown for the first time at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. New photos of the car on European roads have hit the web, announcing the arrival of the car on the German market in early February, followed by the rest of Europe.
The European engine range will include three diesels, the regular 140 and 170 hp units, plus a BlueTDI, and three petrols, offering 160 hp, 210 hp and 300 hp respectively.
