New recall for the 2013 BMW R1200GS
Here's a new recall for the all-new (and freshly-priced) 2013 BMW R1200GS big touring machine, though it's a small-scale one.
So far BMW has announced that 33 bikes will be recalled to their nearest dealerships and will have the ASC software upgraded. The Automatic Stability Control (ASC) system is a traction/ power deployment control software which regulates the bike behavior according to the presets selected by the rider.

In some cases, the Enduro-Pro mode did not reactivate upon rider recall, with the ASC warning lamp no longer illuminated. In such eventuality, riders may not be aware that the system is currently down and could crash if maneuvers inconsistent with the selected riding mode are made.

There is no word on the ASC fault having actually caused a crash as of now, but in case you plan a trip to the BMW dealer to pick up your new R1200GS, make sure you ask them whether the Stability software has been updated.
