It's been a while since we discussed the second-gen Porsche Panamera and we're back on the topic to give you a new take on an eagerly anticipated incarnation of the model, namely the Panamera Coupe.
We're bringing you a rendering of the two-door Panny, one that comes from digital artist Theophilus Chine and perfectly matches our expectations for the machine. Nevertheless, the actual car could get distinct front and rear fascias, for a larger gap between the coupe and the four-door version.

As we've mentioned in the past, the new Panamera will see Porsche turning the badge into a whole family of models. And no, we're not talking about the Turbo S that hasn't been released yet.

Instead, Zuffenhausen has already confirmed that next year's Geneva Motor Show will bring us the shooting brake incarnation of the Panamera. Previewed by the Sport Turismo concept back in 2012, the dog-friendly Panamera will also land in the US.

Once that step is complete, we can look forward to the release of the Grand Tourer rendered here. The market has been asking for a 928 revival for years and the modular platform of the 2017 Panamera offers the perfect starting point.

We'll take the time to remind you that we've already spied the Panamera Coupe, with the shorter rear doors of the spotted prototypes making us think about the 928 aura of the development - here are the shots, in case you missed them.

Unlike the 1970s model though, the newcomer wouldn't be aimed at replacing the 911. Oh no. Instead, if Zuffenhausen decides to bring the model into its showrooms, we'll get a big coupe rivaling the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe and whatever BMW decides to make of the recently-spied two-door prototype (opinions are split between an 8 Series revival and a successor for the current 6 Series and our money is on the first).

P.S.: It would be strange to see a Porsche line-up packing a Cayenne Coupe, but not a Panamera Coupe...
