New Kia pro_cee’d Sketch Released

The 2012 Kia cee’d family, which currently comprises the five-door hatch and a wagon model, will be extended with the arrival of this, the pro_cee’d, the Korean answer to the Astra GTC in Europe.

This is the second teaser photo of the next generation pro_cee’d and the part we should be focusing on is the side profile and the wheel arches.

As you can see, there’s a really cool transition from the side glass surface to the tailgate. Meanwhile the roof subtly curves and extends to a slight spoiler. There are plenty of curves, but the design is very clean, very German in a way.

The engine range will be made up of the same petrol and diesel units as the 5-door, with outputs ranging from 90 to 135 horsepower. However, there should also be a sportier model equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo GDI engine with the same 183 horsepower as the Euro-spec Veloster Turbo.
