The most anticipated models to emerge from Chrysler’s portfolio is the 200 sedan, and the automaker has already began teasing us with some images of the model. The new 200 has first been previewed in mid-September, followed by a new set of teaser images released a couple of says ago.

The new photos not only offer a better look at the car's front end, but they also give us a peek at the leather interior with contrasting stitching.

Exterior and sheet metal upgrades include: front and rear fascias and fenders, grille featuring the new Chrysler brand winged badge, hood, rear decklid and exterior mirrors, new projector headlamps and fog lamps, new LED taillamps and a LED center high-mounted stop light.

The 2011 Chrysler 200 will be powered by a 2.4-liter in-line 4-cylinder World Gas Engine mated to a 4 or 6-speed automatic transmission. The new model will also get the company’s new Pentastar V6 engine that produces 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm of torque), which will be coupled with a 6-speed automatic as standard.

The upcoming sedan will also get an updated interior for 2011, including a new instrument panel, bezels and gauge face, upgraded seats with a new design that incorporates more cushion material and revised spring geometry as well as new leather and cloth seating materials, new “soft touch” door trim panels, new “soft touch” armrests and dash and new heating and cooling outlets in the instrument panel with improved design and functionality.

Replacing the Sebring, the 2011 Chrysler 200 will arrive at dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2010 and will be built at the company’s Sterling Heights plant in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
