From the creators of what is arguably the most iconic motorhome in history - the now legendary Hawley Bowlus-designed Airstream – now comes a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter that hasn't been converted to a luxurious motorhome, as Airstream is known to do for quite a while now, but an all-new luxury passenger van.
Called Autobahn (German for “highway”), the new Airstream van is obviously made in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, but the caravan manufacturer has adorned its interior with its own exclusive touches, tailoring it for VIP travel.

Inspired by private jets, the interior of the Airstream Autobahn is filled to the brim with handcrafted furnishings, including wood trim, leather seating dual refrigerators and individualized controls for the eight passengers.

“Airstream continues to set the industry standard for unparalleled luxury travel, a strategy further enhanced by our partnership with Mercedes-Benz,” said Airstream CEO and President Bob Wheeler. “Whether your VIP is a professional client or family member, we are creating a new category that delivers an exclusive level of focus on individual passenger comfort and convenience.”

Each seat includes a power footrest, heated seating, power outlets (120v and USB) and a workspace equipped with a compact but functional desk. On top of that, each Airstream Autobahn comes in standard with “Airstream Smart Control”, which is just a fancier name for a system that centralizes control for the interior lighting, shades, heating and air conditioning through the interface of a smartphone.

The system also control the onboard entertainment, which includes a 32 inch LCD TV screen, a Blu-Ray player, Pandora and an Apple TV box with Air Play functionality. All in all, this seems like the perfect getaway luxury shuttle for a bunch of friends going to a bachelor party.
