New 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo Spotted in Traffic [Video]
According to recent reports, the new engine for the Turbo is a tri-turbo 3.8-liter, which should bush out at least as much power as the 2013 Nissan GT-R (550 hp). Having a three smaller turbos means they’ve virtually killed off turbo lag.
The other main change to the powertrain is the rumored use of all-wheel steering, which will work in combination with the all-wheel drive to give better handling.
This basely disguised Porsche 911 Turbo prototype was recently spotted in Stuttgart, Germany, by DrGumoLunatic. Porsche engineers have disguised the taillights and bumpers, but there’s not much that they can surprise us with there. Interestingly, the car offers what seems to a Targa roof and center-locking wheels.
