Back in July, BMW introduced the second generation of the X3 mid-size SUV. Just after presenting the vehicle, the German automotive producer unveiled the M Sport Package for the car. Now, the company is offering us additional images of the kit, allowing us to take a closer look at its details.
The 2011 BMW X3 M Sport package sticks to the company’s tradition of being focused on visual modifications that refine both the exterior and the interior of the vehicle.
The kit brings M lightweight alloy rims that come in a 19 inch size. It also comes with wheel arches, side skirts as well as front and rear aprons painted in the body color. The vehicle’s range of exterior color is updated, receiving the Carbon Black metallic.
As for the interior, this has received sport seats that use a cloth-leather Pearlpoint upholstery and an M multifunction leather steering wheel with variable sports suspension.
Ticking the M Sport Package option box will also bring a short throw gearshift leaver (gearshift paddles for the xDrive35i with the standard eight-speed automatic gearbox), and a firmer suspension that uses new dampers.
The BMW X3 will make its public debut at the upcoming Paris Auto Show. The vehicle’s European market debut is set for January 2011, while U.S. dealerships get the car this year.
autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Paris Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
