Ford Motor Co. has unveiled the Unique Shelby GT500 that will play the lead car hero role in the upcoming “Need for Speed” movie, at Electronic Arts’ press conference in Los Angeles.
As we already mentioned, the one-of-a-kind pony sports an aggressive custom widebody kit, a lowered suspension, unique 22-inch wheels and high-tech LED halo lamps around the air intakes. In addition, the car has also received a set of dual hood and side intakes. The interior, as well as the engine bay, remained unaltered, except for the shifter provided by Ford Racing.

The “Need for Speed” movie is set to arrive in theaters in February 2014. Until then, scroll below to have a detailed look at the unique Shelby GT500 in a set of photos provided by our friends over at MustangsDaily.

Coming back to the NFS game franchise, EA Sports is expected to launch a new Need For Speed Underground game. As you might imagine, the overall game environment will be brought back from the initial installment, and the graphics will no doubt be of a jaw-dropping level, but that's something you'd expect from EA Games and NFS, to be honest.

Besides the real-life rides and all that suite of gaming candy for the petrolhead inside, the game will be centered around five action-packed overlapping stories. Also, there are five ways to play, requiring a different set of skills: Speed, Build, Crew, Style, and Outlaw.

Will it be successful? Well, it's hard to imagine how a true petrolhead would miss the opportunity of playing the game, especially since NFS
Underground was one of the most loved versions of the game, although gamers had to spend thousands of hours trying to unlock races, defeat rivals on the blacklist and create the ultimate tuned racing machine in the game.

All we have to do know is polish our joysticks or keyboards while we wait for the game to launch, probably two years from now.
