Set to arrive in theaters in February 2014, the “Need for Speed” movie is probably one of next year’s most anticipated films. While full details are yet to be revealed, we do know that the motion picture will feature a one-off Shelby GT500 as a lead hero car.
And that’s reason enough for us to hope for a gripping “Need for Speed” flick. But we’re still a long way off and it looks like we’re just going to have to settle for a couple of trailers this year, as well as some amateur videos, just like the one we found recently.
Shot in Detroit, from the Campus Martius office park, the YouTube video you’re going to see below shows the Shelby GT500 drifting through city streets with a film car close behind. The footage is disappointingly short for us motorheads, but it does reveal that the movie will indeed provide some serious street racing scenes, just like the video game series.
