A German, for the Germans, by the Germans, that's could have very well been the title of the article. The Germans over at MTM (Motoren Technik Mayer) decided to give the new Scirocco a good pimping to make it even faster than it already was.

The car's design screams speed with the fast flowing lines and the low race-like profile, all the more reason to give it horsepower and some more grunt. The car is officially known as the MTM Sirocco R and here are some of the features you get along with the cool name.

The engine is a 2.0 TSI with a displacement of 1984 cc that works well the 6-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox. The max power has been rated at 200 kW which translates into 272 bhp at 6080 rpm while the maximum torque hits 350 Nm at 3480 rpm. In case you're wondering, the car is turbocharged in order to hit those numbers.

Braking is achieved via the brake calipers, gathered in pairs of 8 round every ventilated brake disc. And since we're talking wheels, the model MTM supplies is a own design, a bimoto with forged rims running on 20-inch Michelin Pilot Sport (265/30 ZR).

The price the tuner gives for the base version is 31,160 euro but a number of upgrades can be fitted to the package which can raise the final price all the way up to 47,861 euro. At least that includes VAT and installation.

The most costly upgrade is without a doubt the engine package that includes electronics, middle and silencer and a metal catalyst. That will set you back 5,285 euros. Next on the price list is the brake package with 4,427 euro worth of “damage” and the suspension package, a mere 1,489 euro.
