Motor Trike Shows Tomahawk Trike Kit for Indian Chief, Chieftain, and Roadmaster

It was, of course, only a matter of time until trike builders Motor Trike showed their Indian-specific three-wheeled kits. Welcome Tomahawk, a modding kit that will change your Indian machine to a trike, while not only retaining but also enhancing that classic, heritage vibe.

There is so much more to the Tomahawk kit than adding one more wheel to the Indian bikes. Motor Trike knows too well that those who choose a new Indian bike are in the game for more than two-wheeled commuting or touring.

The heritage of the iconic manufacturer was preserved in the new models, and one could say that part of the old ones' spirit is still living in the new generation of motorcycles. Motor Trike went a long way to enhance this feeling with superior styling backed by the proven craftsmanship.

Independent rear suspensions for the Indian motorcycles

Just like the new Indian bikes are trying to preserve the aesthetic heritage of the old ones cleverly disguising the modern technology, Motor Trike is able to endow their products with present-day features that silently work for better comfort and reliability out of sight.

The old-school bagger look was seamlessly integrated with the Indian attire, while the bodywork components were carefully styled to enrich the authentic look of a classic American motorcycle.

Still, underneath the lavish, ample fenders, the customers get Motor Trike's patented independent rear suspension with Air Ride and an onboard air compressor, progressive coil over shocks, a disc braking system with ABS integration, and billet aluminium Torque Thrust wheels.

Motor Trike claims that the trunk opening of the Tomahawk kit is one of the industry's largest. At the same time, the trunk is equipped with an interior light, hidden hinges, a 12V outlet and uses the Indian ignition key, sporting integrated electronic trunk lock on key fob and gas tank.

The Indian Tomahawk Motor Trike kits come with a 3-year/60,000 mile (96,500 km) warranty, and are sold for $8,995. Various options are also available, with raked-out forks, electric reverse, upgraded wheels or trailers being only a few of them.
