If you want a unique track car to hit Willow Springs in, Mosler has something really special for you. It’s called the MT900SP and it’s a special edition of their regular car. And how about this for exclusivity: they are only going to build one of these per year, and it’s a US-exclusive model.
The 1,135 kg (2,500 lbs) car is powered by a 7.0-liter 535 hp engine, sending its grunt to the rear wheels via a 6-speed Getrag transmission. They’ve really honed the performance to the max with this one, since it’s supposed to hit 60 mph (98 km/h) in under 3 seconds, while the acceleration won’t stop until you’ve reached the top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h).
But if you want one, you have to be ready to part ways with $479.000, which is about €360,000 at today's exchange rate. We’d walk straight past the Mosler and into a Porsche GT3 RS 4.0. It doesn’t have the exclusivity, but it’s got the heritage and a Le Mans-developed block.
