More Than 50 Cars Stashed in a California Barn

A California resident resisted the temptation of selling any of his cars from his collection for more than 25 years, hoping that one day he would restore them. The result? He never restored them and now has more than 50 vehicles stashed in his barn, all dusted and looking deplorable.

The anonymous collector thought it was about time to get rid of his impressive stash of cars, and decided to put them up for sale. Most cars are inside or under covers, some are parked under a large carport and scattered throughout the workshop.

Those who took photos of the barn gave a list of most cars hidden under the dusty appearance:
  • MGA
  • Austin Healey 100/4 (2)
  • Ford Torino 429 Super Cobra jet cars (2)
  • Datsun Z
  • TR 3
  • Lotus Europa
  • Corvair
  • Austin A40 (2)
  • Hillman
  • Lagonda 2.6 drophead
  • Ford Consol Capri (2)
  • TR7 (3)
  • 1938 Hillman drophead 1,900 original miles
  • Jaguar MK7 Chassis car known as Le Dwarie
  • Rover V8
  • Triumph Standard 10
  • Midget (8)
  • MGB Gt
  • Bugeye (3)
  • Singer (2)
  • Spitfire (2)
  • AC Buckland
  • Jaguar MK 1
  • Jaguar MK8
  • Dauphine race car
  • Alvis race car
  • Unknown race cars (2)
  • Jowett Jupiter (2)
According to Bring a Trailer vis Jalopnik, many of these cars were brought directly from England when the seller moved to California. Among the mostly British models, extremely rare vehicles like a Lagonda 2.5 and the AC Buckland Tourer stand out from the dusty car port.

Is still sad to see how such an impressive car collection now offers a sight that makes most automobile lovers utter a few harsh words to the seller. Hopefully, their buyers will bring these vehicles to their true value.
