After a bunch of photos showing the upgraded Ford Focus RS reached the web one week ago, discussions concerning the technical features could be found anywhere, no matter if we're talking about websites, forums or blogs. For instance, according to details published by Auto Express, pricing of the new Ford model will start at 25,000 pounds, with a 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbocharged engine likely to reach the Focus. Top speed is rated at 160 mph while the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is done in 5.9 seconds, the aforementioned source said.

Speculations continued today as the guys at iMotor published a couple of new pictures showing the new Focus RS but, again, no official or confirmed information regarding the new model. There's not much to comment about the car because the studio-made photos show a limited amount of technical details but it seems like this is really the showroom-ready Focus RS.

And because we were talking about rumored technical features, you should probably know that the new RS may sport 19-inch multispoke alloy wheels, Recaro seats, carbon fiber trim on the center console and black front grille. Feature highlights also include upgraded brakes and enhanced stability control plus a wider track and reduced ride height, according to the aforementioned sources.

The new Ford Focus RS is due to reach mass production in March, with an impressive number of buyers already placing pre-orders. Special colors are also included in the package, with Performance Blue (similar to the one in the pictures), Frozen White and Ultimate Green (the British Motor Show concept color) among the most attractive.

However, we still have to wait a little bit until Ford gives us full technical details about this high-speed model so keep your eyes peeled to read them as soon as they're released.
