There is even more anticipation with the latest Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer Marvel Entertainment recently revealed… and we might believe that the two Harley-Davidson motorcycles which are featured in the movie will get to be used in more than one or two scenes. However, since we had our fair share of disappointment with other action movies whose trailers looked awesome but in which bikes actually played a marginal role at best, we shoult probably not get too enthusiastic.
So far Milwaukee has two bikes in the next Avengers movie, but we know that the partnership between Marvel and Harley is a long-term deal, so we can expect more from the future. The bar and shield company is doing some really smart product placement and this is a thing we must honestly admire, because of at least two reasons.

New, less conservative bikes for a newer demographic… who watches action movies

Both the Street 750 and the LiveWire are new products, even though the latter is nothing but a prototype so far. Still, Harley is seeking as much exposure as possible for the two bikes, because the former will soon make it in a lot of markets around the world, while the latter is in the middle of its development, with Milwaukee doing demo tours and expecting massive feeback.

While the presence of the Street 750 in a truly anticipated movie ensures that a lot of people will see the bike and maybe ask about the model, the same is true for the electric machine. Harley has not confirmed yet their clear intentions to offer a production electric cruiser, but as a huge corporation we strongly doubt the investments made so far in the LiveWire project are only for the kicks.

Harley’s LiveWire demo tours continue this year and company officials admitted they are seeking to get massive feedback to help them profile the ideal H-D electric motorcycle.

On the other hand, a movie such as Avengers: Age of Ultron will attract younger audiences to the cinemas, who are most likely to be or become interested in a Street 750 or an electric Harley. This way, Harley has also found a way to target this special type of advertising to a pool of potential customers which includes enough ”right” individuals to be representative and worth the money invested.
Even though “action” and Harley in the same sentence would bring a V-Rod in mind, that bike wouldn’t be that lucrative for Harley these days, isn’t it?
