Ducati and Akrapovic are taking their relationship to a new level in 2015, as the top-drawer Slovenian exhaust manufacturer announces that more bikes from Borgo Panigale’s roster will receive aftermarket upgrades. Akrapovic has prepared both Slip-On and Evolution Line systems for no less than five Ducati motorcycles in the 2013-2015 model years.
2014–2015 Ducati Monster 821, 1200, and 1200S, the 2013–2015 Ducati Hypermotard, and the 2013–2015 Ducati Hyperstrada will now be customizable with Akrapovic exhausts and have their performance and sonic presence improved with top-of-the-line parts.

The Slip-On line exhausts are crafted from premium sheet titanium and come with carbon fiber end caps. These cans are not only lighter than the stock silencers, but they also come with two aesthetic improvements. The first one is in the visual department, as the Akra cans are almost seen as a statement in the bike world.

The other improvement is related to the aural character Akrapovic exhausts are famous for. The Slovenian factory has a department specialized in experimenting with the tonal subtleties of these aftermarket exhausts, and if you’re ever heard one you know what we’re talking about.

Going Evolution Line is optional

Each Slip-On exhaust can be upgraded to the next level, the Evolution Line one. This means adding the optional Evolution header, a piece made in-house from high-grade titanium and which will add even more power, shave off weight and contribute to the improved sound of these Ducatis.

The silencers must be installed with a mandatory link pipe which comes in catalyst and non-catalyst versions. The cans are plug and play and no engine remapping is needed after installation. Matching carbon heat shields can also be ordered to replace the factory ones for an even more badass look.

These new Akrapovic exhausts will be available in early 2015 through Akra’s dealer network, for prices which will be made available soon.
