Some hate it, but we love this bike: the ultra-cool, streamlined supermotard concept from Husqvarna, somewhat mysteriously called 701. Derestricted has more photos of this sweet machine and we enjoyed analyzing it quite a lot.
While the similarities with the KTM 690 supermotard are hard to omit, the Husqvarna 701 brings is a completely new approach to bike design and this makes it well-worth taking a look at, to say the least.
According to the info on the wire, the 690cc single is good for 75 horsepower which should make this bike fun as hell, thanks to the lightweight build.
There is no telling at the moments whether Husky is working on a new mill (and production bike) or will use some orange (KTM) DNA.
We'd surely like to see Mattighofen build the Husqvarna 701 or something close to it!
