Monaco Royal Wedding Features 200 BMW 7-Series Limousines

This year’s second biggest social event is without a doubt the wedding of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, so any brand - regardless of its type - featured in it is sure going to get some publicity out of it. German automaker BMW also made sure it secures a top spot with the inclusion of 200 7-Series limousines in the wedding’s car fleet.

All the limousines will come finished in metallic black and with the 6-cylinder inline engine under the hood. They will be used yo shuttle the high-profile personalities invited by the Principality during the festivities tomorrow, July 2nd - with the exception of the members of the royal family.

“The choice of BMW Group as partner for the royal wedding has been motivated by the company’s commitment to sustainability. Long-term thinking and responsible action have long been the foundation of the BMW Group’s success. Striving for ecological and social sustainability along the entire value chain, taking full responsibility for its products and giving an unequivocal commitment to preserving resources are prime objectives firmly embedded in the company’s corporate strategy. BMW Group has been sector leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the last six years,” BMW explains.

However, the bride and groom will use a totally different car during their most important day: a one-off Lexus LS 600h Landaulet, with which they will tour the principality after the marriage ceremony, emission-free. Belgian coachbuilder Carat Duchatelet that was tasked with converting the car has spent over 2,000 hours, mainly on conserving safety and quality.
