“The Lancer ES is already an extremely well appointed and popular vehicle. The additional features available as standard increase the street presence and highlight the superior value of the ACTiV variant,” said MMAL Vice president of brand marketing, Paul Unerkov.
The ACTiV package includes 16-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, side airdams, rear spoiler, chrome exhaust tip and the ACTiV badge. Inside, the ACTiV offers hands-free Bluetooth and features a leather steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth controls.
Lancer ACTiV is powered by a 2 liter dual overhead cam MIVEC four-cylinder engine, which produces 113kW (150 hp) @ 6000rpm and 198 Nm of torque at 4250 rpm. The car can be ordered with both a manual or a CVT transmission, in either the Sportback or sedan body styles and in the full range of Lancer colors.
The limited edition keeps all the positive aspects of the Lancer. The entire range has been awarded a five stars rating at the ANCAP tests thanks to a long list of safety equipment including Active Stability Control with Traction Control (ASTC), ABS braking system with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA), (SRS) airbags, anti-intrusion pedal system, seatbelt pretensioners, and reinforced impact safety evolution (RISE) body.
