MINI Gets Rolls-Royce Trim
Apparently a JCW MINI has already been modified by the Rolls-Royce wood and leather workshops. The car was presented in confidentiality to the dealers at the annual gathering earlier this year. Don’t worry, the little car will not be rebranded and sold as a Rolls-Royce, like the Aston Martin Cygnet, and will not be offered through the Rolls-Royce dealers network. It’s not even sure if the car will have any RR badges, pistonheads.com reported.
It is sure that this car is addressed to buyers searching for the ultimate luxury in a small car, as the new level of trim will definitely be the most expensive option on the list. Unfortunately, no date has been announced for the official launch, but as MINI buyers love to personalize their car, we’re sure that this news will stir a lot of interest.
The British brad MINI is owned by the the BMW group that has produced the successor of the original Mini since April 2001. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is a wholly owned subsidiary of the German automaker, so the project might make some sense as long as buyers will be interested. Luxury defies recession once again.
