The recently unveiled, revamped and slightly improved 2015 MINI Countryman will be part of MINI’s line-up for the 2014 New York Auto Show alongside all the other usual culprits as well.
The Countryman will therefore be celebrating its world premiere at the North American show while the new hardtop models will join him on the stage set up in the biggest city of the United States.

Of course, all the attention will be concentrated on this world premiere and everyone will be looking for the new styling cues that this car brings (here’s a tip from us: they’re really hard to figure out).

The 1.6-liter engine fitted on the Cooper S model was improved, now developing the same power as the 2-liter turbocharged unit on the new Hatch, 192 HP. Alongside the power increase, the unit is now also EU6 compliant, as well as all other engines in the range.

For the US market, the Countryman will only be available in two variations: the Cooper S and John Cooper Works models, the latter coming with the trademark ALL4 all-wheel-drive transmission as standard.

Between April 18th to 27th of 2014, the audience can also take a close look at the Clubman concept, the Paceman and Convertible models, all of them available in John Cooper Works trims. For more details, check the press release section, below.
