MINI and United Visual Artists to Present ‘Parallels’ at Salone del Mobile 2014

Last year’s Salone del Mobile saw MINI introduce a dynamic sculpture called MINI KAPOOOW!, featuring a distinct Paceman in the middle of things. It was quite an impressive display that took months of work and impressed everyone present.

This year’s event will see the Brits join forces with the design collective from United Visual Artists (UVA), introducing another unique creation called Parallels.

The installation will be inspired by the design of the new MINI ConnectedDrive system present aboard the 2014 models and will be showing the connection between humans and technology from a different perspective using lights and sound.

The visitors will be encouraged to explore the idea of personal space while living within a more and more technology infused world. Things look promising at the moment.

Launched back in 1961, the Salone del Mobile in Milan is the biggest of its kind in the world. BMW and MINI were part of its history for years now and always had a reserved spot in the venue.

Starting on April 8th, you’ll be able to experience the Parallels creation first hand at the Magazzini di Porta Genova, Via Valenza 2, in Milan, Italy.
