We're not sure whether Milka Duno is seeking a future inside the NASCAR series, but the Venezuelan female driver is sure eager to show everybody that she's not coming second to fellow IndyCar driver Danica Patrick when it comes to stock car racing.

Therefore, Duno joined the three-day ARCA RE/MAX Series test at the 2.5-mile oval of Daytona International Speedway this weekend, in order to test her skills prior to her projected debut in the series a couple of months from now. Although she hasn't yet secured a racing spot for the season opener in Daytona on February 6, Duno completed a few laps for Braun Racing during Saturday and Sunday.

Overall, the Venezuelan female driver recorded the 13th best time of the testing session – one place higher than Patrick – and admitted her enthusiasm over beating her Indy rival on the Daytona track.

I think I adapted to the car pretty quick, although it was not easy. think the times show that. The car moves around a lot and you have to be very gentle. But I'm happy with the result although I think I could have done better on Sunday, if not for a broken piston on the engine,” said Duno, while also aiming at Patrick in the process.

She was testing last week at another track. She ran a lot more laps than I did on Saturday, plus she had two cars at her disposal. And despite that she wasn't faster than I was,” added the 37-year old driver, who is also yet to make her stock car racing debut in career.

Just like Patrick, Duno is aiming at doing some rounds in the Nationwide Series this season, if the sponsorship money will allow her to. She is still to secure a programme in the IndyCar Series also.
