Military Grade Performance: Army Green BMW M5

All the tensions in the Middle East with the Islamic State and all that couldn’t have been ignored by the auto industry and the people involved in it. After all, according to recent reports, the situation might soon escalate and leave us without a Lamborghini Urus. Hopefully, that won’t happen.

Other effects are also noticeable and, to show support for the troops, the R1 Motorsports crew created a special M5 featuring a special livery. Yes, as you assumed, they dressed the car in Military Green and it’s looking... interesting.

Usually we don’t favor stylish and elegant cars dressed in such colors. But this time, something clicked in our head and told us that this is beautiful. There could be some foul play at work here, mind you.

The M5 wasn’t just wrapped in that color but it also received 3-piece forged wheels finished in accenting matte and gloss brushed Carbon Bronze / exposed Firecracker Black hardware. They’re called Brixton M53 Monaco Series and measure 21x10 inches up front and 21x11 inches round the back.

As you probably will notice, there are other small tweaks all around the rest of the car’s body like gloss black kidney grilles up front, blacked out badges, door handles and side gills, a new air splitter on the front bumper, and a boot lid and rear diffuser, both made of carbon fiber.

Could this 560 HP beast ever do battle? Not the one the military does but it could win a tuning competition if you ask us!
