Michael Jordan Sells His Mercedes SLR 722 on eBay

A rare Mercedes-Benz SLR 722 manufactured in 2007 and which is owned by former NBA superstar Michael Jordan is currently listed for sale on eBay. With just 962 miles (1,548km) clocked so far, the supercar still has the factory warranty until August 2011 or 50,000 miles (80,500km).

The "722 Edition" has a crystal antimony grey exterior and an all black interior. It is equipped with an engine that develops 650 hp at 6500 rpm and 830 Nm at 4000 rpm, with a top speed of 337 km/h (209 mph), which means it’s 3 km/h (1.9 mph) faster than the standard SLR.

Other highlights include 19-inch black light-alloy wheels that were used to reduce unsprung weight, while modifications were also made to the suspension, with a stiffer damper setup and 10 mm (0.39 in) lower ride height introduced for improved handling.

Larger 390 mm (15 inch) diameter front brakes and a revised front air dam and rear diffuser were fitted. Other exterior changes include red "722" badging and slightly modified taillights and headlamps.

The SLR 722 can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds, 200 km/h (120 mph) in 10.2 seconds and 300 km/h (190 mph) in 21.4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 337 km/h (209 mph).

“You are looking at a very rare Mercedes Benz SLR 722 in mint condition. Clean 1 owner Carfax. This was the one and only Michael Jordan's 722 with title signed by him!” the ad posted on eBay reads.

Priced at US$429,990 or best offer, the 2007 SLR 722 comes with all papers, books, keys, trickle charger, k40 radar, and a SLR car cover. The offer for sale is open until October 31, 2010, so if you’re interested pay a visit to the following link.
