Now an asset of China-based SAIC Motor, the British automaker's current model lineup consists of just two nameplates: the MG3 supermini and the MG6 mid-size sedan. Both models have received limited edition clothes celebrating MG's 90th anniversary and only 90 examples will ever be made for the U.K.
The manufacturer announced recently that "only a few of the allocated 90 vehicles remain," so if you want a piece of the cake, you'd better hurry up with that deposit. Speaking of which, the lil' MG3 90th Anniversary is selling for £10,999, while the bigger MG6 90th Anniversary will set you back £19,999 OTR. That's a little bit more than the entry-level variants of both models, priced at £8,399 and £15,455, respectively.

Both anniversary models debuted in June at a special MG event held at Silverstone, an event that drawn in over 15,000 enthusiasts of the marque and which featured the CS and EV concept vehicles, as well as a collection of current production and historic MG models. The MG3 90th Anniversary LE is slotted above the 3STYLE trim level and comes with an extensive suite of standard features. These included DAB digital radio, air conditioning, cruise control, rear parking sensors, 16-inch Blue Diamond wheels, embroidered headrests, a unique roof decal and a cabin dominated by black and red detailing.

Step up to the bigger, fancier MG6 with the 90th Anniversary clothes and you get a car based on the top-of-the-range TSE specification. Features that come as standard include sports seats, full color satellite navigation, rear parking sensors, cruise control, 18-inch Matte Black wheels, side vents finished in shiny chrome and other special edition bits and bobs. The only exterior colors available for this model are White on the Tiles, Smokey Blues and Silver Fox (pictured above).

A 1.5-liter normally aspirated petrol engine with 106 PS and 137 Nm of torque is the powerplant that equips the MG3, while its bigger brother is boasting with a 150 PS 1.9-liter turbo diesel mill. Both anniversary models come with a 3-year/60,000-mile warranty. More details are available here.
