Merdad Tunes the McLaren MP4-12C: MehRon GT

The McLaren MP4-12C is a car that has been developed with a lot of attention. However, the vehicle didn’t quite manage to overtake its main rival the Ferrari 458, so the Brits went back to their labs, paid attention to what the automotive media had to say, then made some calculations and finally tweaked the car in order go give it more soul.

However, it seems that none of this is enough for British tuner Merdad, which has taken on the challenge to offer a complex modification package for the British supercar. The McLaren MP4-12C tuned by Merdad will be called MehRon GT and will come with a multitude of new goodies.

The company has now released a set of rendering, showing us what it can do for the car. As you can see we are dealing with serious aerodynamic modifications, so the vehicle should now be a totally different animal. One of the things that impressed us the most is the explosion of carbon fiber that can be seen at the rear of the vehicle.

In addition to that, the British aftermarket developer promisses to offer a complete transformation for the interior, with customers being able to choose from a wide range of materials. Merdad has also played with the tech side of the MP4-12C, but the tuner hasn’to released any details about this yet.

The MehRon GT will be available starting from 2012, when the tuner will also release the McLaren MP4-12C MehRon GT3 Racing project.
