Mercedes Trucks Expects Good Sales Next Year
These figure are a bit worrying, especially since Volvo recently announced a downfall of 99.7% in sales, meaning that only 115 trucks were purchased.
“Although we cannot yet say for sure which scenarios will emerge, the Global Excellence Program, the ‘manage the cycle’ initiatives, and innovative and reliable products provide us with the right means and mechanisms to counteract the effects of a deep recession,” says Andreas Renschler, Daimler Board of Management Member responsible for Daimler Trucks.
Mercedes uses the “trucks you can trust” pledge, and it seems to be working. They say that they can prove this because of their 600.000 Mercedes Benz Actros in more than 100 countries of the world. The Atego and the Axor also continue to prove the company's reputation, earned in 110 years of trucking history.
Surveys say that Mercedes Benz trucks are most unlikely to break down on the road. The number of complaints has reduced to more than half since the mid 1990's.
“The brand pledge ‘Trucks you can trust’ expresses Mercedes-Benz’ uncompromising focus on the quality and reliability of its products and services, and on the fair, cooperative treatment of its customers. That’s because the transportation business depends on having vehicles and business partners that can be trusted in all situations,” Hubertus Troska, Head of the Mercedes-Benz Trucks business unit at Daimler AG said.
