Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss in Deep Gloss Black

Yes, we do know that the Mercedes McLaren alliance is old news and that the SLR has been replaced by the SLS. But we just can’t help but admire the Stirling Moss SLR is still a car to behold.
Unlike the regular SLR which is very practical, this has no roof and not even a windshield. It’s a lot of money’s worth of flash and pantomime. And since only 75 were made starting in 2009, there really are very slim chances of running into another one.

Back in 2009, you could get one in Germany for about €900,000, but we really didn’t think they sold it in any other color than silver.

This black example just popped up on our radar, filmed by Patrick3331 in Alain Class Motors, which is most likely the biggest luxury car dealer in the world. As you can see, they’ve secured just about every supercar and luxury automobile model in the world, and are selling them at a premium to wealthy Arab customers. This deep black Mercedes Benz SLR Stirling Moss is like a black pearl of the desert and should fetch a pretty penny, even though it’s got no roof. It might not work well in dusty Dubai, but it’s perfect for Monaco’s Casino Square.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
