The manufacturer decided to build 6,300 cars that were delivered to Italy, and another extra 385,000 units that are to be shipped worldwide. Mercedes says the S-Klasse Grand Edition has received some “birthday gifts” from AMG that gives the model a sportier yet elegant look.
The special edition has been gifted with an AMG styling and performance pack. AMG has given the S-Klasse a more aerodynamic design, by installing front and rear bumpers which are joined into one solid design statement by the AMG side skirts.
The 19” AMG alloy wheels come with 255/40 tires up front and 275/40 in the rear which are in a perfect harmony with the AMG brakes. When entering the “Admiral Ship” Grand Edition features like leather steering wheel, wood trim and stainless-steel sports pedals look like they belong, and life without them would seem pointless, it’s an addictive feeling transmitted by the Grand Edition. The anniversary edition S-Klasse edition includes two petrol and two diesel engine options.
The S250-Klasse CDI comes with a 4-cylinder Biturbo which puts out 204hp with a fuel consumption of 5.7/100. Another option is the V6 diesel BlueTEC producing 258hp and 620Nm which is engineered to be eco-friendly meeting the prescribed emission values for Euro6.
