Did you know car flipping is a favorite pastime of many students from across the world? And it doesn't only happen during riots like the one going on in Baltimore right now. Oh no, it occurs during football matches, concerts and essentially any event where alcohol limbers up the neurons.
We've also heard of something called cow-tipping. Apparently, if you push a cow over on its side, it can't get up again, which is funny but extremely cruel. The Russians have decided to combine the two and turned to SUV tipping when they were bored.
We are kidding, of course, since the G-Class that you see on its side probably hit a tram station or a curb, which launched it into the air.
The photo was posted on Instagram only a few hours ago by krasivie_antonomera. It seems that the incident happened in Moscow near the Lenin Mausoleum, but we can't confirm these facts at the moment.
The SUV looks like the G63 AMG, powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8, or the ultra-expensive G65 AMG. However, using the #X095AM tag, we've been able to find a few other photos of the car. It appears that this is, in fact, the old G55, which had a less impressive naturally aspirated V8 with under 400 horsepower. An updated body kit and new wheels were steadily added to the car, but it still has the wrong indicators and taillights.
Regardless of which version of the G-Class this is, it's not designed to behave like a sportscar. The 55 weighs 2,450 kg (5400 lbs) while the 63 is another 100 kg (220 lbs) heavier. The steering uses ball bearings because it's sturdier that way, so it shouldn't be treated like a Lamborghini Aventador, more like a very fast Lamborghini tractor.
