The Mercedes-Benz W113, the original SL, and the only one to embody its founding philosophy, “Sporty and Light” (SL), as the cars that followed, only got heavier and heavier, with the modern SL now weighing as near as makes no difference, 2 tons (give or take).
Well, not that the original car wasn’t good enough, but Bulgarian leather experts, Studio Vilner, have taken on the task of adding even more luxury and exclusivity to the ‘Pagoda’ - an already exclusive and luxurious car in its own right, and turning it into the ‘Gentle Pagoda’.

So, what have they done to the ol’ W113? Well, the outside is treated to a cream paintjob with brown accents and the number 51 on the bonnet and doors of the car. The number definitely represents, well, something, otherwise they wouldn’t have put it on the car.

However, the exterior is not the car’s main attraction, as it’s interiors which are the specialty of Studio Vilner. The brown and cream theme is carried over from the exterior, with the car getting two-toned quilted leather, chrome and mahogany on the dashboard and steering wheel, as well as other special touches.
