The following video is supposed to take us through the design process that led to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 exterior look, or at least that's what the description let us know.
Narrated by the S-Class W222 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA designer, Robert Lesnik, the footage is actually a bit of a let down – for us at least.
Leaving the funny accent and the language barriers aside (Lesnik is from Slovenia), the 7 minutes or so of video only focus on a few design details and the subject is what appears to be a pre-production prototype that doesn't even have the mirrors glued properly into place, evident if you watch closely from 4:30 to the 4:34 mark.
All in all, the intro had made us believe that we were going to be introduced into various pre-final design moments and the likes, so maybe our expectations were a bit too high. The S-Class W222 still remains a beautiful car.
