Mercedes Benz Leaks Details of 2012 C-Klasse Coupe on Facebook

Although Mercedes-Benz has been very discreet about its 2012 C-Class Coupe, the company has revealed some new information about the model.

As part of its "Tweet Race to the Big Game" announced earlier this week on Twitter and Facebook, four people will be given a Mercedes Benz C-Klasse Coupe to drive to the Super Bowl. The user who tweets the most will end up winning the car.

While some Super Bowl-goers won't make it past the second paragraph, car enthusiasts have something else to be hyper about. Buried deep in the rules section of the contest are specifications of the prize car.

The winner will receive a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C250 Coupe, base model, with winner's choice of paint color, which features a 201 hp (204 PS / 150kW) four cylinder engine that is not currently available in the US. Although the Super Bowl will be played on February 6, 2001 and the contestants will have to drive there in the prize vehicle itself, and while the contest winner should be announced not much later, the prize vehicle will not be available to the winners until the model launches in October 2011. It's going to be a tough wait but it'll be worth it.

The C-Klasse Coupe will probably be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.

autoevolution will be attending the 2011 NAIAS, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
